Queeryfest was conceived by 3 former Pitch Wars mentors: Anna Kaling, Mary Ann Marlowe, and Rochelle Karina. We saw a need for a mentoring program geared specifically to support queer writers and queer fiction. We are building a network of authors who share a common interest in helping LGBTQIA+ authors and/or content.

Our mentors will have experience mentoring, querying, and publishing they hope to pass to authors who are just starting out or who’ve struggled for years to get a foot in the industry. While we hope this mentorship will secure the author an offer from an agent, our focus will be on creating an opportunity for teaching skills to help mentees level up their writing, shape their manuscript, and build tools to target and query the right agents.
