Alexandra Van Belle (they/them)

Alexandra Van Belle is a transmasculine, bi/pan writer and biologist. Their short stories have appeared in journals and anthologies from 2004 to the present. They draw on their science background to inform the world-building details in their fiction, and they also bring writing into their science life, serenading their fungal cultures by dictating fiction when no one else is in the lab. Alexandra is represented by Lauren Bieker of FinePrint Literary Management.

Alexandra has been mentoring privately for three years, and this year has also joined the Rogue Mentor team. They are a professional novelist and editor, have worked in fiction and nonfiction publishing, and taught undergraduate writing courses at Boston University for five years. Two of their novels are about to go on sub, and more books are in the works.
